This week, we support the righteous and honorable struggle of VioMe workers in Greece. We support all our class friends whereever they are in the world and we say that we are going to pass over this challenging period by international solidarity with our struggling working class.
VioMe workers have been supporting their factory by their organization and production for a long time. They have the right to decide the future of their factory and future, this is a natural and democratic right.
Owners had said that they have gone bankrupt and left the factory long ago. They did not pay their debts to the workers. Then, they appeared again and wanted to take the factory back. Because workers raised the factory that they had sunk. What capital could not achieve, workers did. No matter what the law which stands by the capital says, the struggle that the workers created is legit and successful.
We support their call for solidarity and say "their struggle is our struggle"...

I lavoratori di VIO-ME a Salonicco occupano gli ultimi due anni la loro fabbrica, dopo che la produzione è stata abbandonata dai suoi proprietari, lasciando dietro di sé milioni di euro in salari non pagati, consegnando i dipendenti e le loro famiglie alla povertà.
I lavoratori si sono organizzati e hanno riavviato la produzione in autogestione riuscendo a sopravvivere con salari molto modesti. Durante questi due anni, i precedenti proprietari, la famiglia Fillippou ha fatto di tutto per impedire il lavoro ai dipendenti e cercando di chiudere lo stabilimento, moltiplicando i ricorsi giuridici. Essi stessi sono stati condannati per i salari non pagati, ma in secondo grado di giudizio, la condanna è stata ridotta a quasi niente, esonerandoli di fatto al pagamento dei salari dovuti.
Questa esperienza di autogestione lotta e di solidarietà è stato accolta e sostenuta in tutto il mondo.
Oggi, VIO-ME dei lavoratori sono di nuovo seriamente minacciati, il 23 un nuovo processo deve decidere o meno la liquidazione e la vendita delle macchine. Ciò implicherebbe la fine della autogestione del processo produttivo attraverso l'introduzione di interessi privati in azienda.
Il 20 marzo ci sarà una prima mobilitazione e una marcia a Salonicco per protestare contro lo svolgimento di questo processo, in quanto vi è poco da aspettarsi dato il funzionamento del sistema giudiziario in Grecia su questi temi.
Il 23 marzo, i lavoratori e le lavoratrici chiedono una manifestazione massiccia di solidarietà davanti al tribunale in cui il processo avrà luogo.

It is an attempt to send all the solidarity from the
workers of Özgür Kazova. We have
just learned of your trial tomorrow and we wish you strength and luck at the
same time. As the last resisting workers of a 23 months long struggle against a
bankrupt owner who wanted to sell out the factory premises, we have been
through our final court case only two months ago. In our case the court
confirmed what we had repeated for two years: that the machines to produce
belong to those who produce. The only compensation for year of labour under bad
pay can only be the ability to control the means of production and ensure
equality among workers, without bosses nor injustices.
We wish the same victory to you, and we look forward to
finally meet you in person next week.

wir vernommen, dass die alten Besitzer versuchen, mit juristischen Tricks den
Betrieb zu liquidieren und damit ihr Werk der Zerstörung zu vollenden. Was auch
immer die Richter am 23. März entscheiden werden, lasst Euch nicht vertreiben
und verteidigt die Fabrik! Als praktisches Zeichen unserer Solidarität werden
wir hier in der Schweiz weiterhin die Seifen von Vio.Me verkaufen. Jedes Stück
Seife steht als Symbol für eine künftige Art von Produktion und Austausch, die
der ganzen Gesellschaft dient, ohne Ausbeutung und ohne Chefs. Es ist diese
Botschaft, die mit dem Vertrieb der Seifen von Vio.Me verbreitet wird.
Das ist die Form der
Unterstützung, die wir aus der Ferne leisten können – nebst der Erklärung unserer

While the capitalism
exploited the oppressed more and more everywhere in the world, what happened in
Greece after the economic crisis was something a lot of oppressed experienced
in different parts of the world.
After the economic crisis,
from strikes to resistances lots of movements happened in the region of Greece.
The proccess that Vio-Me
workers finished with a factory occupation on February 12th of 2013, was the
best answer not only to economic crisis but to capitalism itself. We, the
oppressed, can break free of this oppressing system of capitalism with self-organisation
and solidarity. We can achieve the social revolution that we want by increasing
these cracks in the capitalist system.
With the directly
democratical decision makings, with their desire to expand their experience of
self-organization to different parts of society, Vio-Me workers introduced
their struggle not only to Greece but to many geographical regions including
the one we live in, and we salute Vio-Me workers today just as we did in the
past.
Against the capitalist
bosses and rich people, against the state's attempts to destroy this
solidarity, your strong-willed struggle is our struggle.
The state attempts to
undermine this self-organized process with laws, attempts to destroy this
anit-capitalist experience like in everywhere. We, as Revolutionary Anarchist
Action, want you to know that we are with you to the end in your struggle. We

οικονομικής κρίσης και λιτότητας, εκατοντάδες ελληνικές επιχειρήσεις
αναγκάστηκαν να κλείσουν. Οι εντολές της τρόικα, με την υποστήριξη της
κυβέρνησης, προξένησε χρόνια ανεργία, από την οποία υποφέρει ως επί το πλείστον
ο κόσμος της εργασίας. Το 2011 οι εργάτες της ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ. εγκαταλελειμμένοι από
τους εργοδότες τους, αποτέλεσαν άλλο ένα θύμα του νεοφιλελεύθερου φασισμού,
αλλά κράτησαν το κεφάλι ψηλά. Υπό την απειλή να μείνουν χωρίς δουλειά,
ακολούθησαν το δρόμο της αυτοοργάνωσης. Το εργοστάσιο καταλήφθηκε και έγινε η
πρώτη συλλογική επιχείρηση της Ελλάδας. Το 2013, μετά από δύσκολους αγώνες, οι
εργαζόμενοι άρχισαν να παράγουν και πάλι, επιλέγοντας την οικολογικά καθαρή
παραγωγή. Στο πνεύμα της εργατικής αυτοδιαχείρισης και την άμεσοδημοκρατική
λήψη των αποφάσεων, ξεκίνησαν μια διαδικασία που φέρνει στη μνήμη μας την ισπανική
κοινωνική επανάσταση. Όλοι στο εργοστάσιο έχουν ισότιμες απολαβές, ο
συνεταιρισμός έχει οριζόντια οργάνωση και η δουλειά είναι συλλογική. Η ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ.
όπως και άλλοι συνεταιρισμοί εργαζομένων σε όλο τον κόσμο, απέδειξαν ότι η
απελευθέρωση των εργαζομένων βρίσκεται στα χέρια τους. Η ανυποχωρητικότητά τους
και η επιμονή τους, είναι πηγή έμπνευσης για τους εργαζόμενους στον αγώνα τους
για μια καλύτερη ζωή. Σήμερα, η ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ. είναι αντιμέτωπη με την δυσκολότερη
δοκιμασία της. Οι παλιοί ιδιοκτήτες έχουν ξεκινήσει δικαστική διαδικασία που
ξεκινά στις 23 Μαρτίου. Στόχος τους είναι να τους επιστραφεί το εργοστάσιο,
καθώς και η γη γύρω από αυτό. Οι εργαζόμενοι ανακήρυξαν ότι θα αγωνιστούν
μέχρις εσχάτων, με κάθε τρόπο. Σήμερα, περισσότερο από ποτέ, η ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ. έχει
ανάγκη στήριξης. Είναι σαφές ότι το κράτος και το κεφάλαιο θα προσπαθήσουν να
καταστρέψουν κάθε προσπάθεια αυτοοργάνωσης και αυτοδιαχείρισης των εργαζομένων.

Във времена на икономическа
криза и строги икономии, стотици гръцки предприятия бяха принудени да затворят
врати. Диктатът на Тройката, с подкрепата на правителството, създаде хронична
безработица, от която пострада най-вече трудовата част на обществото.
През 2011 година, изоставени от своя работодател, работниците от Вио. Ме бяха поредната жертва на неолибералния фашизъм, но не склониха глави. Пред заплаха да бъдат оставени без работа, те поеха по пътя на самоорганизацията. Фабриката беше окупирана и превърната в първото колективно предприятие в Гърция.
През 2013 година, след трудни борби, работниците започнаха да произвеждат, отново, като заложиха на екологично чистото производство. В духа на работническо самоуправление и взимане на решения чрез пряка демокрация, те стартираха един процес, който носи спомена на испанската социална революция. Всички във фабриката получават по равно, кооперативът е организиран хоризонтално, а работата е колективна. Вио.Ме, заедно с други работнически кооперативи по целия свят, доказаха, че освобождението на работниците, е само и единствено в собствените им ръце. Тяхната непримиримост и упоритост са вдъхновение за трудещите се в борбата им за по-добър живот.
Днес, Вио.Ме е изправена пред най-тежкото си изпитание. Старите собственици са започнали дело срещу фабриката, което ще започне на 23 март. Целта им е да си я възвърнат, както и земята около нея. Работниците заявиха, ще се борят до последно, по всякакъв начин.
Днес, повече от всякога, Вио.Ме има нужда от подкрепа. Трябва да ни е ясно, че държавата и капиталът ще се опитват да унищожат всеки опит за самоорганизация и самоуправление на трудещите се. Трябва да ги спрем!

The Brooklyn Greens extends its solidarity and pledges its support to
the workers who have reclaimed the Viome factory in Thessalonica.
We denounce the court proceedings brought by the former owners, who are attempting through legal sanction to steal the factory from the workers and liquidate it despite having already stolen and profited from the fruits of the Viome workers' labor for many years, while they ran it.
The Brooklyn Greens, which is an activist local of the Green Party of New York, calls on our sisters and brothers in Green parties throughout the world to support the Viome workers.
Furthermore, we encourage workers everywhere to follow the Viome workers' example, take back the equipment that we ourselves, as workers, produced.
We write the words "us" and "we" here because that factory (and all machinery) rightfully belongs to "us" -- the international working class, which we are part of and together created. We all collectively own what we've produced. The fact that we've allowed the bosses to "borrow" it for some time -- whether it's the ecological cleaning supplies produced by Viome workers, or any and all other equipment and means of production -- is simply a sign of the global working class' generosity. We want it back. All of it. And so we're taking back what's rightfully ours.

Dear media laborers and friends of working class,This week, we support the righteous and honorable struggle of VioMe workers in Greece. We support all our class friends whereever they are in the world and we say that we are going to pass over this challenging period by international solidarity with our struggling working class.
VioMe workers have been supporting their factory by their organization and production for a long time. They have the right to decide the future of their factory and future, this is a natural and democratic right.
Owners had said that they have gone bankrupt and left the factory long ago. They did not pay their debts to the workers. Then, they appeared again and wanted to take the factory back. Because workers raised the factory that they had sunk. What capital could not achieve, workers did. No matter what the law which stands by the capital says, the struggle that the workers created is legit and successful.
We support their call for solidarity and say "their struggle is our struggle"...

I lavoratori di VIO-ME a Salonicco occupano gli ultimi due anni la loro fabbrica, dopo che la produzione è stata abbandonata dai suoi proprietari, lasciando dietro di sé milioni di euro in salari non pagati, consegnando i dipendenti e le loro famiglie alla povertà.
Οι εργαζόμενοι της ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ στη Θεσσαλονίκη έχουν καταλάβει
τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια το εργοστάσιό τους, μετά την εγκατάλειψη της παραγωγής
από τους ιδιοκτήτες της, αφήνοντας πίσω τους εκατομμύρια ευρώ απλήρωτων μισθών,
παραδίδοντας [εγκαταλείποντας] τους εργαζόμενους και τις οικογένειές τους στην
φτώχεια.
I lavoratori si sono organizzati e hanno riavviato la produzione in autogestione riuscendo a sopravvivere con salari molto modesti. Durante questi due anni, i precedenti proprietari, la famiglia Fillippou ha fatto di tutto per impedire il lavoro ai dipendenti e cercando di chiudere lo stabilimento, moltiplicando i ricorsi giuridici. Essi stessi sono stati condannati per i salari non pagati, ma in secondo grado di giudizio, la condanna è stata ridotta a quasi niente, esonerandoli di fatto al pagamento dei salari dovuti.

οργανώθηκαν και επανεκκίνησαν την παραγωγή καταφέρνοντας να επιβιώσουν με πολύ
χαμηλούς μισθούς. Κατά τη διάρκεια αυτών των δύο ετών, οι προηγούμενοι
ιδιοκτήτες, η οικογένεια Φιλλίπου, έκανε τα πάντα για να εμποδίσει τη δουλειά
των εργαζομένων και προσπαθώντας να κλείσει το εργοστάσιο πολλαπλασιάζοντας τα ένδικα μέσα. Οι ίδιοι [ενν. οι πρωην ιδιοκτήτες]
καταδικάστηκαν για τη μη καταβολή μισθών, αλλά σε δεύτερη βαθμό, η ποινή
μειώθηκε σε σχεδόν τίποτα, απαλλασσοντάς τους από την καταβολή των μισθών που
οφείλονται.

Oggi, VIO-ME dei lavoratori sono di nuovo seriamente minacciati, il 23 un nuovo processo deve decidere o meno la liquidazione e la vendita delle macchine. Ciò implicherebbe la fine della autogestione del processo produttivo attraverso l'introduzione di interessi privati in azienda.

των εργαζομένων βρίσκεται ξανά υπό σοβαρή απειλή. Στις 23 [Μαρτίου] μια
καινούργια δίκη καλείται να αποφασίσει ή όχι] την εκκαθάριση και την πώληση των
μηχανημάτων. Αυτό θα σήμαινε το τέλος της αυτοδιαχείρισης της παραγωγικής
διαδικασίας μέσω της εισαγωγής ιδιωτικών συμφερόντων στην παραγωγή.
Il 20 marzo ci sarà una prima mobilitazione e una marcia a Salonicco per protestare contro lo svolgimento di questo processo, in quanto vi è poco da aspettarsi dato il funzionamento del sistema giudiziario in Grecia su questi temi.

"Many people in
Bulgaria are familiar with the struggle of the Thesaloniki workers, who decided
to fight for their jobs. This is a fight we have been following through the
years and we were sincerely happy for their achievements. The struggle of the
workers from VIO.ME started in 2011 when they
decided they will not be another victim of unemployment, but they have the
courage and skills to run the factory and their own lives by themselves. After
long and difficult attempts, and thanks to the support from the Greek and
international society, the factory in Thesaloniki starts producing in the
beginning of 2013, under workers control entirely. Since then VIO.ME staff
is managing their production by themselves. They have decided to rely on direct-democratic
self-governance and ecologically clean production, starting an example of a
modern manufacture (like many other self-managed productions in Europe and
South America), based on ethical and social foundations, in spite of greed and
fraudulency. They showed us another way is possible, here and now. Today, the
workers of VIO.ME are faced a big challenge. The
previous owners are attacking the factory in court, trying to sabotage the
production, to take hold of the possessions and try to sell them off. A trial
is scheduled in the Greek court for 23rd March. The VIO.ME workers
expressed readiness to defend the factory on every price and with every means.
The Greek society is also supporting them – in the coming days there will be
protests, actions and concerts in entire Greece in support of the self-managed
workers. We will not stay idly as well. If the Greek court decides to support
the previous owners, who abandoned the factory 4 years ago and now attempt to
rob it again, we are ready to organize protests and demonstrations of
solidarity in front of the Greek embassies and representative offices in
Bulgaria.

των εργατών της Θεσσαλονίκης, που αποφάσισαν να παλέψουν για τις δουλειές τους.
Είναι ένας αγώνας τον οποίον παρακολουθούμε από χρόνια όντες ειλικρινά
χαρούμενοι για τα επιτεύγματα τους. Ο αγώνας των εργατών της ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ. ξεκίνησε
το 2011 όταν αποφάσισαν πως δεν θα γίνουν και αυτοί θύματα της ανεργίας, αλλά
ότι έχουν το κουράγιο και τις ικανότητες να διαχειριστούν το εργοστάσιο και τις
ζωές τους μόνοι τους. Μετά από μακρές και δύσκολες απόπειρες, και χάρη στην
υποστήριξη της Ελληνικής και διεθνούς κοινωνίας, το εργοστάσιο στη Θεσσαλονίκη
ξεκίνησε να παράγει στις αρχές του 2013, ολοκληρωτικά κάτω από εργατικό έλεγχο.
Από τότε οι εργαζόμενοι της ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ διαχειρίζονται την παραγωγή μόνοι τους.
Αποφάσισαν να βασιστούν στην αμεσοδημοκρατική αυτοδιεύθυνση και στην οικολογικά
καθαρή παραγωγή, ξεκινώντας το παράδειγμα ενός μοντέρνου εργοστασίου (όπως και
πολλές άλλες αυτό-διαχειριζόμενες παραγωγικές μονάδες σε Ευρώπη και Ν.
Αμερική), θεμελιωμένο πάνω σε ηθικές και κοινωνικές βάσεις, αντί για την
απληστία και την απάτη. Μας έδειξαν πως ένας άλλος τρόπος είναι εφικτός, εδώ
και τώρα. Σήμερα, οι εργάτες της ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ. αντιμετωπίζουν μια μεγάλη πρόκληση. Οι
προηγούμενοι ιδιοκτήτες επιτίθενται δικαστικά στο εργοστάσιο, προσπαθώντας να
σαμποτάρουν την παραγωγή, να πάρουν στα χέρια τους τα υπάρχοντα του και να τα
ξεπουλήσουν. Έχει προγραμματιστεί δίκη σε Ελληνικό δικαστήριο για τις 23 Μάρτη.
Οι εργάτες της ΒΙΟ.ΜΕ. επέδειξαν ετοιμότητα στην υπεράσπιση του εργοστασίου με
κάθε τίμημα και με κάθε μέσο. Η Ελληνική κοινωνία επίσης τους υποστηρίζει –
στις επόμενες ημέρες θα πραγματοποιηθούν διαμαρτυρίες, δραστηριότητες και
συναυλίες σε όλη την Ελλάδα σε υποστήριξη των αυτοδιευθυνόμενων εργατών. Ούτε
εμείς θα μείνουμε αδρανείς. Αν το ελληνικό δικαστήριο αποφασίσει να στηρίξει
τους προηγούμενους ιδιοκτήτες, που εγκατέλειψαν το εργοστάσιο 4 χρόνια πριν και

Los trabajadores argentinos seguimos con atención la batalla que están librando en defensa de la
gestión obrera y de los puestos de
trabajo. A la par de la lucha de Viome, se está desarrollando la lucha
por la reapertura de la emisora
estatal. Ambas luchas constituyen un
capítulo relevante del enfrentamiento con la UE y el FMI.
Lo que está en disputa
en Grecia y en el mundo es quien
va a pagar la actual crisis :
el capital o los que vivimos de nuestro trabajo. El rescate de la banca
se viene haciendo a costa de sacrificios y privaciones sin precedentes del
pueblo griego. Lo mismo viene ocurriendo en la Argentina.Los recursos van a parar al pago de la deuda
externa y a cuantiosos subsidios al capital. El estado argentino ha llegado el extremo de suprimir subsidios
que venían otorgando a los trabajadores de las empresas recuperadas.
Denunciamos la
pretensión de la ex patronal de Viome
de retomar el control de la fábrica y desalojar a los
compañeros que la han reabierto y puesto a
funcionar .Frente a cualquier tentativa de extorsión ,venga de donde
venga, llamamos a oponerle una salida

favour of the workers of VioMe!
The DIP, the
Revolutionary Workers’ Party of Turkey, extends its deepest sympathy and
solidarity to the workers’ collective of VioMe, fighting to sustain the work
they have been so honourably doing for the last two years, i.e. running a
factory on the basis of self-management with equality of rights for all workers
involved and workers’ democracy embodied in the sovereignty of the general
assembly of the workers of VioMe.
The claim by
the previous owners of the factory, the Fillipou family, coming as it does
after having abandoned the factory for so long, creates a 21st century
replica of Bertolt Brecht’s play The Caucasian Chalk Circle. The
workers of VioMe have kept the factory alive and running for all these years
while this capitalist family was nowhere to be seen. The workers are like the
maid in Brecht’s play, who looks after the child of the Governor’s wife while
she is trying to save her own skin without any regard for the child she has
given birth to. The Governor’s wife eventually comes back to sue the maid in
order to get the child back. The judge draws a circle of chalk and asks both
the Governor’s wife and the maid to pull the child. Whoever manages to snatch
the child will get to take him away. As the maid cannot bring herself to hurt
the child, she lets go. Seeing this manifestation of affection, the court
decides in favour of the maid.
Whoever
nurtures the child deserves to be the mother and whoever nurtures the means of
production deserves to own it! Let the VioMe workers carry on with their
exemplary practice of self-management!
Of course,
the case in the Greek bourgeois court is no Brecht play and there is a threat
hanging over the fate of the workers of the self-managed VioMe factory. We are
totally against the formalistic bourgeois right to private property possibly to
be re-imposed by the court on the workers of VioMe. They are the ones who have
given life to the factory. Let them be its rightful owners!
Long live the self-managed VioMe factory!
Long live proletarian internationalist solidarity!

your bosses proof why a socialist society is needed. The Greek struggle against
the European Troika is also a struggle against Greek capitalism ( supported by
New Democracy and the traitorous PASOK ). As workers you have experienced the
hardness of living in a country with falling living-standards. You rejected
European austerity, but the struggle is only beginning. Because your elected
government is too moderate and not willing to build socialism. SYRIZA's
weakness lies in its reformism and its reformist leader Alexis Tsipras ( who
used to be a communist back in 1990 )!
I know the fight
against the former owners of VIOME will be difficult. Because by
capitalist law, they own the factory. Greece is still a
capitalist nation that serves the owners of the economy, not
the people who work. SYRIZA needs to change these capitalist laws and
replace them by socialist ones. A Hellenic Socialist Republic is
needed to give full economic control to you. The working class can elect
its own people to run enterprises, you don't need capitalists or
state-bureaucrats!

themselves.
Today, the business is
gradually getting better, and in near future, the workers are planning to buy

Genossen,
der Verein „Aktive Arbeitslose Österreich“ erklärt
als noch kleine aber unabhängige Arbeitslosengewerkschaft seine volle
Solidarität mit dem Kampf von VIO.ME. Auch wenn wir in einem noch reichen Land
leben, wo die offizielle Arbeitslosigkeit „nur“ 10 % beträgt, so wissen wir
sehr wohl, was die Herrschaft des Geldes in Europa bedeutet. Selbst in reichen
Staaten wie Österreich werden zur weiteren Steigerung der Gewinne der
Unternehmer immer mehr Menschen entweder ganz arbeitslos gemacht oder in
prekäre und immer schlechter bezahlte Arbeit gedrängt. Eine unglaubliche
Bürokratie bedroht Arbeitslose in Österreich. Wenn wir uns nicht als „willig“
zeigen droht man uns mit Bezugssperren, die unsere Existenz bedrohen. Das selbe
passiert, wenn wir, wenn wir uns nicht in sinnlose Kurs oder in schlecht
bezahlte Zwangsarbeit zwingen lassen. Mitten im reichen Österreich leben daher
immer mehr Menschen in Angst und Vereinsamung, ohne eigene Stimme in der
Öffentlichkeit oder der Politik.
Daher ist es für uns
wichtig, dass konkrete, solidarische Alternativen zum Kapitalismus vorgelebt
und erkämpfte Freiräume verteidigt werden. Nur eine grundlegende
Demokratisierung der Wirtschaft kann unsere Gesellschaft retten und die
Menschenwürde wieder herstellen. Projekte solidarischer Ökonomie in
Griechenland wie VIO.ME sind auch für uns eine wertvolle
Motivation, unseren Kampf weiter zu führen und zu versuchen, die noch
vereinzelten Kämpfe miteinander zu verbinden.

wissen um euren Kampf, viele sehen die Armut und nur wenige sehen den Mut.
Den Mut, den ihr habt, euch gegen die Armut und für die Solidarität zu
stellen und den Mut, den der Richter braucht, das Recht zu sprechen. Wem gehört
der Betrieb? Für mich als unabhängiger
Deutscher und für jeden Richter mit juristischem Eid, gibt es nur eine Antwort.
Nur euch, frei von jeder Diskussion.
Helden in Griechenland, Zeus in Athen und das Recht in Thessaloniki für
VIOME.
Ich wünsche euch das Beste, was man sich wünschen kann und viel Mut auf
eurem Weg.
